Olly Shepherd
Fly fishing has always been my passion. From the first time I held a fly rod I was hooked! I have now been in the industry 12 years, and become one of the leading fly fishing businesses in Yorkshire.
I spent many years working towards becoming a inspiring instructor and also trying to modernise fly fishing, by having a different approach to traditional casting techniques, water craft, entomology and to fly tying. I am qualified as a Professional Game Angling Instructor (GAIA) also an accredited Level 2 Sport England Coach and a Riverfly Partnership Monitor, this makes it possible for me to pass on my knowledge and true enthusiasm for the sport. But I believe the most important qualification of all, is being able to make our time together great fun! 2020 brought one of my proudest moments where I was asked to become one of a very selected group of people and made a Trustee of the Tees Rivers Trust.
With my qualifications comes all the necessary coverage to teach everyone. I possess first aid training, I am DBS checked and I hold a certificate in child protection. Clients of all ages can rest assured they are in a safe and secure environment when taking part in fly fishing lessons.
